Apprenticeship training is directed by a committee of
employers and the union. They work together to insure
all workers are fully trained in all aspects of our trade
and safety.
Apprenticeship Training consists of classroom and on-
the-job training. Our members learn about all aspects
of roofing and waterproofing.
Apprentices spent a minimum of 144 hours of
classroom training each year for 4 years and 4800
hours on-the-job training with a mentor during the
term of their apprenticeship. Safety training is very
important to us. Training of OSHA 10 and OSHA 30,
rigging and signaling and hazardous communications
are just some of the safety items we cover.
